Tihar Jail Rehabilitation Project

Sofia with the support of BSES CSR & Tihar Jail Administration has launched a new initiative in Mandoli Jail i.e. “Tihar Jail Rehabilitation Program” for prisoners who are undertrials or serving their sentence in the prison. This initiative is a unique step to provide the facilities for prisoners towards their fresh start and rehabilitation through education & vocational trainings along with their soft skills & personality development. Under this initiative, we are providing the following facilities :

Providing tuition classes for NIOS enrolled inmates along with require books, notebooks, stationary etc in CJ 11 & 16.
Up gradation of Crèche facilities i.e. beds for children, toys, games, child friendly environment, books and material for learning activities.
Up gradation of Beauty Parlour i.e. furniture, equipment, renovation, basic & advance cosmetics etc.
Vocational Trainings in Basic Computer Course and Beauty Culture
Providing entertainment facilities such as LED TV, Games, Books for Library etc

#SardiSeRahat- Blanket Distribution Program

Sofia NGO, through its #SardiSeRahat campaign, has been distributing blankets to underprivileged individuals during Delhi’s harsh winters for the past five years. With the support of Hamdard National Foundation, Sofia’s volunteers reached vulnerable communities across Delhi, ensuring no one is left in the cold.

World AIDS Awareness Day

AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is a major public health issue worldwide. HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a dangerous virus that attacks the body’s immune system directly. If HIV is not treated, it will become AIDS. Do you know? 680,000 people died from HIV-related causes in 2020. Sofia running AIDS Awareness campaigns. and teach people how to prevent to attack this virus. and how to maintain proper hygiene

Equipment Aid Distribution Camps For Disabled People

With the support of BSES, Sofia identified 40 disabled people who needs wheel chairs, walking sticks, hearing aids etc and provide require aid as per their needs.

Fire Extinguisher Installation at Religious & Community Places

With the support of BSES, Sofia installed fire extinguisher at religious and community places i.e. Mosques, Temples, Gurudwaras, Church, community halls, marriage halls and Dharamshala. . Around 1250 fire extinguisher has been installed till now in across Delhi. Apart from this, we also made aware people Govt. schemes and its procedures.
